CARRIER ETHERNET 2.0 CERTIFICATION
The new Carrier Ethernet 2.0 certification program enables:
Service Providers to certify that their E-Line, E-LAN, E-Tree and/or E-Access services are compliant with the relevant MEF specifications Equipment Vendors to certify that their products support delivery of E-Line, E-LAN, E-Tree and/or E-Access services through compliance with the relevant specifications
The Carrier Ethernet 2.0 certification program is a continuation of the highly successful MEF Certification Program that began in 2005 and has resulted in over 1,000 services and devices certified as MEF 9, MEF 14 and MEF 18 compliant. These certifications were achieved 64 service providers and 83 equipment vendors in over 100 countries in every continent. CE 2.0 Certification is described in the Carrier Ethernet 2.0 Certification Blueprint. The Blueprint describes the attributes tested in 680 test cases covered by the certification in the Carrier Ethernet 2.0 Certification Test Plan.
Certification is available for individual services. It is possible to certify for one or more of the eight Carrier Ethernet 2.0 services shown in the table below:
